Our goal here is to give you the best and most up to date information on cruising so you can plan and go on an amazing vacation! Recently our team was on the Symphony of the Seas and we had a blast. This post is our rundown of our top ten things to do on this ship! If you would like to check this post out on our YouTube channel, click here.
Our team was on Symphony of the Seas at the end of October into the beginning of November and we had quite a bit of time to check out all the amazing things this ship has to offer. Here is our top ten rundown!
1. Spend an evening in Central Park.
Central Park on the Oasis Class ships is truly an amazing space. It feels like you're outside while inside the ship, with over 12,000 live trees and other plants, a living wall, and lots of other interesting things. It really feels like an outside park and is a great space to people watch, enjoy, and relax. You'll find a bunch of restaurants here as well as live music in the evening.
2. On embarkation day, avoid the crowds and head over to the Solarium Bistro. Here you'll find a light lunch and a quieter space that isn't full of passengers or packed like the buffet always is.
3. Check out the Aqua Theater. One of the unique things about being on an Oasis Class ship is the unique Aqua Theater. Here they do shows with dancing, divers, slack lines, amazing music and more. It's not to miss!
4. Make time for the two Ice Shows! Each Ice Show is unique and combines fun costumes with choreographed ice dancing and tricks. Ice shows are a feature unique to Royal Caribbean that no other cruise line has are definitely worth checking out.
5. Spend some time on the Boardwalk. On Symphony of the Seas they have seven neighborhoods and the Boardwalk is one of them. Here you'll find fun games and other things to do as well as the Dog House and other delicious things to eat and drink. When you're there, be sure to check out the carousel!
6. Head over to Playmakers and try the Campfire Cookie. Now, this will cost a bit extra ($8) but it is totally worth it. This is a chocolate chip cookie topped with marshmallows that they bake just for you. It's served with milk and ice cream and is a must if you have a sweet tooth.
7. Check out one of the specialty restaurants! This will cost extra and the cost will vary depending on the restaurant you go to. The food at all of the specialty restaurants is amazing and there are a bunch of different ones to choose from. Some of the restaurants are very upscale and it can be fun to get dressed up for a night and go to a fancy meal, especially if you are celebrating a special event.
8. Go to a theme party! They have theme parties just about every night on the ship ranging from 70's, 80's, Glow, etc. and they are a ton of fun. The parties usually start around 10:30PM and you'll have fun dancing to live music or a DJ or even just people watching.
9. Go to the Crazy Quest. The Crazy Quest is only done one night on the ship, usually night six, and it is a fun game show that is not to be missed. This is an adult show done in the ice arena (they put a floor down) and not for the feint of heart or easily offended. If you enjoy crazy games, definitely check this one out!
10. See a Broadway Show. On Symphony of the Seas they have Hairspray right now, which is an awesome show full of singing, dancing, and a fun plot line. Definitely grab some drinks and make your way over to enjoy!
These are our top ten things to do on Symphony of the Seas! Have you cruised on this ship? Would you add anything to our list? We would love to hear from you!
