Top 10 Must-Do Activities on the Carnival Venezia

Welcome back to Byte Size Cruises! If this is your first time joining us, we are so glad that you are here. We are a small travel agency in Philadelphia, PA and we specialize in ALL things cruising! If you are interested in cruise vacations or are a cruising superstar, you're in the right place. Our goal here is to share the most up to date and relevant information with you so you can plan and go on an amazing cruise vacation!

Our crew just got off a cruise on the Carnival Venezia and WOW did we have a memorable trip. Here is our list of the TOP 10 MUST-DO ACTIVITIES on the Carnival Venezia! If you would like to view this post on our YouTube channel, click here. Let's get into it!

1. Go to the Sail Away Party! The sail away parties on Carnival cruises are TONS of fun and this one did not disappoint. If you enjoy dancing, music, drinking, eats, and a great vibe, this is the place to be at the start of your cruise. If you're not big into parties, that's okay too! You can grab a seat and people watch or just enjoy the music.

2. Go to a show at the LimeLight Lounge! The LimeLight Lounge is the comedy club on the Venezia and is on Deck 4. Comedy and Carnival really go hand in hand. The shows are great, you do have to get in line a bit early, but it is 100% worth it. They do have shows back to back here and keep in mind that if you want to go to both you'll have to leave the Lounge and then come back in (you're not allowed to stay in your seats for both). This allows the opportunity for more people to be able to see these shows. They do PG shows and Adult shows, so keep that in mind as well. There are generally two or three comedians on board the ship, so definitely go check them out!

3. Go to Bonsai Sushi. This one will cost you a bit of extra money (it's $20 per person) but the food is delicious and if you're a fan of Asian food, you'll love it. Here, the chef will build a meal for you, which will include some appetizers, a steak or seafood entree, and dessert. For $20, it's a great deal and the food is delicious. Of course, if you want to order a la carte sushi, you can do that too!

4. On one of your sea days, go to the Sea Day Brunch. First off, if you like to sleep in sometimes you miss out on breakfast in the dining room, and this is a chance to get all your breakfast favorites later in the day. This brunch is a lot of fun in a relaxed environment with lots of fun food options you can't get at any other time on the ship (chicken and waffles anyone?)

5. Go to Guys Burgers! There are two lines for this restaurant; one of them is for ordering a standard cheeseburger and fries and the other is for for the "make your own burger" experience. This restaurant IS included in your cruise fare and the burgers are delicious - go check them out!

6. Go to the Silent Disco Party! This is also the White Party and is located up on the Leo Deck of the ship. This is hosted after dark. Everyone wears white, you put on your headphones and get to choose the channel of music you listen to. This party is well attended and fun to participate in or to watch.

7. Treat yourself to an Italian dinner at Il Viaggio. This is a specialty dining restaurant so it is not included in your cruise fare, however we absolutely believe that it is worth the extra dollars to have dinner at this restaurant. It's $42 per person for dinner and if you are celebrating something special on your cruise such as an anniversary or birthday, this is the perfect place to be! We found that the food overall on this cruise was one of the highlights and the food at this restaurant did not disappoint. The space here was not overly crowded, the meal was delicious, and the more formal, elegant vibe made the meal special.

8. Check out the Pergola Bar. This is a beautiful space to hang out, have some drinks, and just relax and enjoy your vacation. There are some very unique spaces on the Venezia that you don't see on other Carnival ships, and this is one of them. This bar overlooks the Ledo deck and if the weather is nice the windows and roof will be open allowing for an indoor/outdoor experience. This is just a really great place to relax and enjoy.

9. Get your Latin flavor on in the Carnevale Lounge. If you enjoy Latin music, this is THE place to be. This is on Deck 5 and is an amazing space to take in live music. The space is beautiful with a fun vibe; a really great way to enjoy an evening while on your vacation.

10. Last but not least... Go see Family Feud. We cannot recommend this show enough. Carnival does a fantastic job making this entertaining for everyone and it is included in your cruise fare. They do a family version of this show as well as an adult version, so pick the one that is best for you and go check it out!
